A BILL to repeal section three, article four, chapter five-a of the
code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one,
as amended, relating to repealing the ability of the secretary
of administration to appoint security officers.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
§1. Repeal of section relating to appointment of security
officers; oath; carrying weapons and powers and duties
generally.
That section three, article four, chapter five-a of the code
of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended,
is hereby repealed.

NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to repeal the appointment of
security officers by the Secretary of Administration. With the
enactment of legislation establishing the Division of Protective
Services, this section is obsolete.
